Time for another Inception-specific thematic list!

This time, the procedure that gave the film it's name: INCEPTION!

I’ve bookmarked all fics I’ve come across that deal with incepting characters, which I've tagged as "incepted."

This list is by no means comprehensive, since the concept is the same as the title of the film/fandom, it's rather hard to search out. If you have any additions, recommendations or suggestions, let me know! This is definitely a work in progress.

Dog Days Are Over by foxxcub (NC-17)
Pairing: Arthur/Eames

Summary: The team tests a sedative with mental age-regressing properties for an inception job. The goal of the job is to convince the fifteen-year-old reigning national spelling bee champion to sit this year out. But when Arthur and Eames try the sedative, they experience the unexpected side-effect of physically regressing to sixteen, with all the associated awkwardness and volatility of the age. This brings the issues between them over a fling that ended badly to a head, all while they push Yusuf to find a cure, shop with Ariadne for clothes that fit at the Gap, and try to finish the job.
Prompt: Something Yusuf develops causes them to de-age to [sixteen] years old. Teenage UST antics ensue.

Summary: When Arthur falls into a coma, Eames decides to go after him. Down in the unknown world of Arthur's mind, he finds himself confronted with the point man's past as much as his own.

Prompt: Arthur finds out about Eames's mysterious past one way or another. It can be vice versa, too.

Summary: After the inception Robert Fischer was changed in a fundamental way and he happened to recognize a man playing in the park with his kids. A Robert character study and a chance to see Cobb being ridiculously paternal. [Basically, the team incepted more than they intended, and Robert intends to find out why his dreams are so strange.]

Summary: An AU where the events of Inception happened, only without Arthur and Ariadne. Arthur's father pays Cobb, Eames, and Yusuf to incept Arthur and make him straight, but no one is expecting Arthur to be a BAMF. Ariadne is there too, of course.
Prompt: Arthur has been raised as a military brat, with an abusive father--who had discovered his son’s affections for men. He decides that this is unacceptable and hires Cobb and Eames to extract all traces of homosexuality. Eames is not comfortable with this but needs the money. As he enters Arthur’s mind, however, he begins to think he could fall in love with him.

Prompt: The heir to a major corporation refuses to take over and the team must change his mind at the request of the heir's family.
The team's mark (aka the heir) is secretly a fairy tale fanatic and their mission involves Eames who has to forge Sleeping Beauty so the mark can be the Prince who rescues 'her'. After the kiss, Eames of course, must incept the mark to have him return home to take over his family's corporation.
All goes well, except that after the mission, Eames won't wake up. It turns out Eames incepted himself to only awaken with a kiss from his true love, which just happens to be Arthur.

Summary: Either Arthur has an unrequited crush on Eames or Eames has one on Arthur. Also, Cobb is single-minded, Ariadne feels awkward, Eames is naked, Yusuf listens to Madonna, Saito buys a country, and Arthur might have rage blackouts.
Quote: “I’m not pretending! I promise you, Mr. Eames, I am not remotely in love with you. If anything you’re in love with me,” he says. And then as he says it, he realizes it’s true. “Is that what this is? You’re still trying to perform inception on me? Really, Eames, doesn’t that kind of blur the lines of consent?”
“This has become awkward,” Yusuf says, but he doesn’t put his headphones back on. Actually, he swivels his chair around for a better view and starts eating Skittles.
